I was trying to think of an idea for something i can do for my art project that is lacrosse related. I was thinking maybe like i carve designs into a wood stick or a wind chime made out of like 6 broken shaft halves and some other lacrosse equipment. If you have any suggestions or ideas, im as open as a fat man's refridgerator.

i dont have to write anything for it, just an art project that will take 8 hours minimum
and was my original creation, not a kit or forgery

you could take a bunch of wood. . cut it into lacrosse shafts and then build something like a house or something. . if you had the tools and energy for that

wind chime sounds cool what if you buy some cheep al600's in your desired color then dye the ball with some hotglue in a matching color to make it look sweet on the inside. then hook it all together with like shooters or somthing. make sure to cut the shafts different lengths to get different notes.

get broken heads from your team...
if you have access to a blow torch and some gloves great...if not maybe an oven and some gloves...
Basically mold the broken heads into a sulpture of a lacrosse player playing lax...
I saw this done once by a guy on laxpower who never posted again...the image he did really looked cool...

Haha! I think maybe trying and doing your chime or you could dye your head, or make a head of wood.

Yeah I like stegs idea. But if thats too hard, get a cheap head, dye it, then use pieces of aluminum shafts as chimes, and attach them to the sidewall holes of the head with sidewall/crosslace, then when you hold the head up parallel to the ground, there will be chimes with the top being a dyed head. Sorry if that didn;t make sense.

no, it made sense, thank you for all the input everyone, the suggestions are great. i will definately cut the shafts into different lengths and i was thinking about using a head on top like you suggested, or a helmet if i can find an extra available

The wind chime idea sounds pretty cool.
How about use a head. Then have the shafts tied to the sidewall holes.

I like the wind chime idea but I also have a new idea. You know those things where there are 4 or 5 metal balls and they hit together from the sides.
You could try doing it with lacrosse balls. I also think that there was a tutorial on making pocket pounders with a ball that would work good in this.

This might be really crazy, and I don't know if it would work, but you could hollow out a wooden shaft, and make it a flute. Make all kinds of different notes, and make patterns on the outside.
It's just so crazy that it might work...

i think you should dye the stick like many people have said then i think you should do some sort of cool decorative classic string job...personally a pharoe pocket would be sick with like a black to red with white squiggly fade...that would be amazing...white leathers black laces and red shooters

If you really want to have fun, find a cheap wood shaft and carve a design into it. After that you can dye the head, maybe your school colors or something then do a custom string job. All those are original creations or alterations and no string job is the same. So in all you will have a completely personalized stick.

okay i think i have it.... bear with me....
so you have one broken shaft with a hole in the very top that hole can be used to hang it to whatever then you have hole drilled preiodically on the wya down to put stuff through so its also a little uneve wich may look cool and then maybe you can hang more off those....?
