Help, Head (Triton) 1/2in too short.. Solution/suggestion needed

I dont post nor come here often so I'm not sure if help threads are agianst the rules...(if so delete, too lazy to check, sorry)

During todays game I had the luck of getting the random stick check, but I didn't mind at the time becuase I knew the pocket and stuff is legal... and I've never baked it or done any type of mod to it. Apparently the head (Like in the title, it's a Gait Triton) is roughly 1/2 inches too short from the inside neck, basically on the ball stop, to the lip(scoop). I originally was just going to bake it and squeeze the walls and different areas to make up the 1/2 inch difference, but the part near the top where it's widest(not sure of the name) is supposed to be a minimum of 6 1/2 inches, and thats exactly what it is. So I'm not left with many options on what to do, becuase me being a complete retard didnt keep the reciept and personally I love this head and dont want a new one so I'm willing to try anything to make it legal. Any off the wall ideas or accually sugguestions or things youve done to fix it will be helpful, next games on Friday.

if u take a pencil and sharpen it on both sides, to where its like 6 7/8 total lengh, and stick the sharpened ends in the sidewalls holes at the widest point..either boil it or bake it, both works...its never a good idea to be just barely legal....take it out a little bit farther.

So you know, the triton is measure from the outside sidewalls, not the flared rails.

our defender just got an illegal stick penalty for that exact same reason, even on a triton. maybe something is wrong with them??

So wht yer saying is the head is to short top to bottom aka scoop to throat. Do you have a tape measure? If so can you give us the measurement. Is it at all possible that the REF got the measurement wrong? Half an inch just seems alot to be short on an unmodified head.

Only thing i can suggest trying is to bake the stick to round the scoop out a bit. Just have to move the centre out 1/2"

Otherwise, you could get a new stick, or just take your chances with the illegal Triton.

BTW - how long is it from ball stop to inside edge of scoop? Outside edge?

This is very interesting, can you get a measurement up just so we know. And also do you know what the legal length is because i have a triton up in my room just waiting to be strung for a friend and i want to know if its illegal. (hes terrible and will never get stick checked, but just so i know).

Sorry it took me a while to respond, but yes I'm saying that it's too short from the scoop to the neck. The measurements from the neck to the scoop (ballstop to the scoop basically) are 9 1/2 inches. Everything else is legal except for that. I'm 100% sure the ref didn't mis-read it, but sadly I took matters into my own hands last night... I baked it and the head is now legal but the mesh I adore is now shrunk becuase I was too ignorant to take it off before baking. but the good news I suppose is I didn't risk it and play the next game with the triton becuase I once agian got the random stick check. But it seems that either the triton had a bad batch and some of us got it, or it warped or something... If I kept the reciept I wouldn't have baked it I wouldve gotten a new one, but I didn't have it.

Any suggestions on a sweet traditional rig I can use for the triton?

Put a pita in it! Or use your old mesh and put a corner or a mesh x pocket in it.

get a brine tightbutt end cap and stick it on th shaft...its aboue 3/4 of an inch and should solve ur issue

I hate when that happens..I get soo mad.. Anyway, what are you going to do with that and what head did you use?
