Advantages of Double Sidewalls?

I searched through, coulnd't find anything.
So let me hear what are the advantages and disadvantages of double sidewalls. Because I strung up a new head of mine and my friend was saying double sidewalls are stupid.
What are your thoughts on double sidewalls?

yeah, i wanna know the same thing. i've heard its to make the pocket bigger, but i'm not sure if i want that because i like a defined pocket, not a bag.

it allows slack on the sidewall so there is less tension on the strings, lowering the chance of the strings breaking.

when the bottom string stretches, the other string keeps it in place.

the only reason i ever use double sidewalls is to make it easier to place the pocket where i want it.

It makes a bigger pocket, as in long and rather deep, but primarily long

pocket placement. If you string it right you'll get a perfectly centered pocket.

Well they bagged out my pocket pretty well.

Advantages: centers the pocket well, sidewall strings don't wear out is easily, very smooth release, more give with catching

Disadvantages: pocket tends to rock (back and forth), throws inconsistent because they tend to stretch, require adjustment quite often

Overall, I don't really like them...

i always use double sidewalls for my 7 diamond mesh pockets. my customers love it, but is this a bad idea? is the adjustment too difficult? should i try regualr sidewalls for 7 diamond? i have found that it give better hold and a more cushoned pocket.

double sidewalls just really make a bigger pocket
but whenever ive strung a stick with double sidewalls the mesh always like moved forward as the ball rolled off the shooters, and no they wernt to tight.
and you need to get it symmetrical orelse it throws like ****
