Old School Stick

Hey All, My Son was given an old stick(one piece wood, w/ leather and ?cat gut?) anyways the lacing showing its age. How can I recondition it and also is there a thread on restringing one?

once you construct the new sidewall, you can basically follow any tutorial for basic traditional stringing. you might have to use golie leathers because the stick is so long, but you never know.

the one I have is a players stick but not looking to use it in a game just to keep and maybe practice with as it was a gift from a great uncle. thanks for the tips tho.

They can still be used in today's game, provided that they meet all the measurements.

As long as they meet measurement, they're perfectly legal for lacrosse under almost any ruleset. NLL is one notable exception.

They are still legal. Is the cat gut (sidewall) broken. If it is broken it is extremly hard to find. If not then its just restrung like a regular traditional pocket which also could be quite tricky to do if you havn't but a couple of tries you should be able to
