I am just hoping Arizona can pull off an upset again. It's not lookin good for them against Colorado today seeing as they are 0 for 3 against them this season if I'm not mistaken. They just better keep Blasdel in and Conn and Dawson will have to be on fire.

I am hoping Rochester Knighthawks win. They see like a talented team and have a really good chance to win.

I live in Colorado, but I'm a huge Sting fan. So when these little girls behind me got on the jumbotron for whatever reason, I saw an oppurtunity and jumped up in front of them, showing off my Sting shirt that I had on, and just being generally awesome. So, naturally, pretty much the entire crowd booed. Haha, good times.

That was you, shoebag? HA! My wife, kids, and I were four of the 12,000 people booing. That was a real close game. Like the last one, when the Mammoth seemed to have the upper hand, the opponent would make it close again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them in Buffalo in two weeks.

Haha, yeah, I was pretty proud of myself. I think the Sting coulda had it though if they had just kept control of their passing. They had quite a few golden oppurtunities that they lost because of errant passing. Also, Nash was just being nasty in goal, so that made things that much harder.

I was thinking just the opposite. The Sting had a *lot* of second chances after they shot on goal. They kept hustling after the ball and had control way more than the Mammoth. The Mammoth weren't able to get a hold of the shot rebounds after a lot of the Sting shots and move the ball to the other end. For example, Coyle had three passes intercepted by the Sting and that rarely ever happens to him.

The only way Portland gets to the finals is buying a ticket.

I think Buffalo is going to dominate defensively against Colorado. Close first half and then Buffalo will pull away. Bandit's win 14-10. I wish Rochester was still in it.

gary gait gets the double in coaching championships.
i think both teams like to run but both have guys that can both clog up or initiate transition.
the wilcard is the unexpected boost the woolies have gotten from burkholder.

if los banditos have 1 big deficiuency v denver, its faceoff. i see 2001 repeating itself where a stud goalie and a stud f/o were the deciding factor btwn the wings and the rock - i see nash & hanford doing the same.

They do get some scoring from Burkholder, but he's got a big downside being a major ballhog. There have been numerous times during games where he'll run around with the ball for 10 or more seconds trying to find an opening and then he gets decked and loses the ball. Meanwhile, there are guys standing open and waiting for a pass that never comes. Brian Langtry used to be this way, but has changed quite a bit under Gait's coaching. He's more willing to give up the ball if there's nothing available.

until he stops scoring, its a plus but i hear ya'. what i liked most about andy while he was a wing was his play around the corners.
