I was just wondering if someone could give me a step-by-step with photos or a video. Whenever I shoot they go up and at not a very fat speed. People always tell me Im shooting wrong but dont help me fix it. If you could give me some pointers that would be greatly appreciated.

You might be releasing the ball to early, make sure you follow through,
This should help,

Don't slide your top hand. My dad won't stop telling me to do it. And its BAD. No Top Hand Sliding!

You should devote about 85% of you're shooting practice to shooting on the run, you will rarely have a completely open shot while standing still.

don't use just your arms, that's the most common mistake i see. you need to get your whole body into the shot(arms, shoulders, hips, legs and back)

What he said.

If you're looking for power, then you have to lead with your hips. Try to turn and drive your front elbow towards your target and turn your hips/twist your back as hard as you can to get a lot of torque early on in your shot, then shoot.

If it's accuracy... get one of those shot things and just work with it.

I'd say your body accounts for more than twice what your arms do with speed. You can also do so plyometric drills (like tossing a medicine ball laterally and stuff).

If you're shooting high, you're possibly reaching too far back on your wind-up.

Two choices - adjust your stroke, or add more whip to your pocket.

That, and make sure your technique is right before you F with your stick
