during this season, our coach has stressed that the middies should get the ball to the attack and work it around between themselves. I know that attackmen in general are better stickhandlers, but the attackmen dont usually move the ball back to the middies, and our coach never says anything about it, but when we try to take our man one on one or hit another cutting middie, he whines about us not looking for the attackmen

The middies, including myself, find this very frustrating because we are all pretty good lacrosse players and feel that we deserve to do a little more than just get the attackmen the ball.
what should we do?

You should first talk with your attackmen and get them to realize that offense involves both middies and attackmen. If you work together it provides better scoring options. Then take the entire offense as a whole to talk to your coach and say calmly how you feel and explain that working together and not always having to dump to attack can help the team win games.
