If the official can tell which player on the bench cursed and wants to assess a USC, does the player who he knows cursed serve it, or does the in-home?

I think it's the in-home, but I'm not 100% certain. It seems unfair not to punish the offender if you are able to say for sure who it was. But I believe the rules indicate any penalty against a coach or any player NOT in the game is assessed against the in-home.

The in-home serves the penalty. The bench player, if you know who it was, cannot re-enter the game until the penalty expires. And, finally, if it's a USC or other personal foul, that player should be charged with the foul in the book so that the penalty counts towards the limit of 5 personals and 2 USCs.

That's what I thought. Thanks.
