Yeah but if their hardcore workouts then you will gain alot of muscle mass. Also your lung capacity will increase 10fold. Again, it really depends how hard they push you during swimteam. Ask them how hard it is and some sets they do. Post them up or PM them to me and I'll let you know how difficult it will be.

yeah im pretty sure its low key. probably by the end of the practice around 50 laps? but if you say you will increase lung capacity wont that lead to being able to press more weight which equals more muscle.

it's worth it.....they say that doing 15 minutes of swimming is like doing an hour of running..

it's what i do, and it's helping a lot

good thing about swimming is you work on your whole body - plus its good to your ankles :P - might even increase the strength

but I'm not sure, i think weight training works out better for just building up muscle mass - and thats what you want for football right? - i'D go for football, also because swimming requires a lot of technique - if you dont already know it it will probably take you all summer...

yeah im pretty sure im gonna just go swimming on my own time. not 5 times a week at 7 in the morning. since football isnt about endurance its more of an explosion sport.

It depends on how hot the girls are...

doing swimming will help you can weight for football. when you swim any of the stroks you are working your lats. they are part of your back. they are the most ignored muscle int the weight room. your lats will get stronger and they are one of the most heiviest muscle in your body.
also it is good for your lung capasity, meaning you could run longer with less breaths and you won't be out of breath as much
