:nono: A friend of mine (parent) got asked to leave a high school jv game yesterday, “You’re out of here, GO TO YOUR CAR”, for saying "you gotta call that ref, someone's going to get hurt". My friend's pet peeve is cross checking. He thinks it’s becoming more common in the field game. He felt this ref was not calling it, especially on the sidelines when kids were being forced out of bounds, in his opinion three times with a cross check in their back. From his description of what happened he didn't say it loudly or disrespectfully but, he was very close to the ref and maybe that's what moved the ref to kick him out. People’s respect for each other is definitely diminishing and there has been some disturbing things in the news regarding fans being horrible to refs. Maybe this ref had heard too much and had just reached his breaking point. But… yelling out your opinion to the ref is part of most sports and is something refs are used too. I can see throwing him out if the statement started out YOU !#%!! YOU GOTTA CALL THAT! Since I wasn’t there I can’t really know how the words were said. I’m sure if I got the refs view of what he said it would be different. The ref did come over to my friend after the game, apparently uninvited, to tell my friend, “you don’t know what you’re talking about” his answer was, “well… yes I do”.
