D to goalie in middle of the game

So the ref blows the whistle because my goalie got a un-sportsman like. Because i'm the back-up goalie/defensemen, He gives me hisstick and i give hm my d-pole and i jump in goal.
First shot hit me in the leg and barlely went in. :bawling:
second time up the field B1 passed to B2 the crease attackman and i drilled him :dummy:
the second shot they took i saved with my body

Any way, i was wondering if any one else has had a similar situation to me had how you did?

it didnt happen to me, but in one of our games this season our goalie got a bogus slashing call and our back up goalie was a middie. it was late in a close game, so my coach called a time-out so the middie/goalie could switch gear.

our middie did great in goal, all things considered, but finally let one through. it cost us the game.

im still bitter about that one

Yea last season we were tied 8-8 at the beggining of the 4th quarter about 30 sec. in my goalie run out gets chekc and dislocates his elbow and i can play really any position so i was like coahc ill go in goal they won't score on me and they didn't for the entire 4th quarter i have 19 saves lol yea my team wasn't great i was like the only one to score. so regulation ended and we went to OT still 8-8 and we play OT until someone score no time limit and they didn't score for like 11 minutes or so which i made another 17 saves (yea they wern't good shooters and we were just playing bad we later beat this team 7-2 later that season) well then a kid takes outside bounce shot that i was ontop of but when i went to save it off the bounce it took a wierd bounce and went over my hit the cross-bar and fell in. I felt really bad but we only got it out of our zone like 3 times the entire time i was in goal so ther wasn't much i could do.

that is outstanding...you obviously made the game really good for your team, and frankly, you made it a good game for both teams.

be proud of play like that...not to be too polyanna about it, but "you didn't lose, the other team just scored last."

19 saves in under 12 minutes, just after stepping in the net? I believe it.

That happened in one of my games, we put a middie and goal and he turned out to be amazing. Now he's our starting goalie.

Exact same thing happened to me. I ended up with like 10 saves and only let 1 in, but it just trickled in.

i didn't. i just got the goalie stick and took off my elbow pads

i think the goalie said something like, "common ref, you gatta make that call, they've been hitting us in the face all day."
before that the ref gave him a warning for saying the same thing

Our keeper must have had about a dozen unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in fall-ball. Made our backup half decent.

I will be the first to call B.S. U had 36 save and one goal against they need to keep you in there because NHL goalies dont have stats like those.
