Hey im wondering if any goalies out thier have any energy drink that improves thier reactiontime and such. or if anyone has any pregame rituals or meditation things they do to get pumped and prepared for gametime.

Monster energy drink does some weird stuff to you. You go so crazy after that, im sure you could be a little faster with it, because you would be more aware or hyped. Another solution to that is take off your helmet and bash your face into the goal. That feels awesome, and definently gets you ready :)

just make sure your prepared ..no energy drink is going to give you faster reaction ... just focus ...thats it !

As for the pregame ritual, I used to sit with my eyes closed listening to the heaviest music I could find in the locker room. Just relaxing. Then regular stuff happened, going out to the field, warm ups, and then I would tap crossbar, left pipe, then right pipe (facing the goal) with the top of my head.

i just try to keep to myself on the bus ride there or in warm-ups. As soon as the firse whistle blows, im all game, nothing else can bother me.

drinking an energy drink is the dumbest thing in the world

you wont be focused and you will just be hyper.

plus its a great way to dehidrate yourself

This is what I try to do;

an hour or two before the game,
Powerbar, or something else with high carbs
and Vitamin water or gatorade.

Then just water until the game, and right before the game listen to some music and just focus. I just found this song the other day that I'm gonna start using, it's Can't Be Touched by Roy Jones Jr.

i listen to the exact same playlist before each game as a strech out. i suck if i dont do this. i hate supersitions.
