Hey

I'm Moving from st. louis to toronto hopefully in aug. to go to york u. (if the finacial aid works out) I want to find a place to get back into the game. I'm 23 and haven't played organized lax in like 8 years because of some issues with changing schools and stuff and i now i finally have a chance to play again.

I'm a field lax player Though and i only had a couple of indoor (not box) so not sure if Box is the only thing up there.

Is there any fiel lax in TO?

If not how much diff. is box from field?

thanks for all the help.

york has field lacrosse there.... box is alot more physical than field, and the ball bounces better.

And it is alot different. I suggest trying to watch a few games and getting a rule book.

...........

PM me your e-mail.

I play in a few adult rec leagues, and I know how to get in touch with the commissioners of a number of other rec leagues. Most of the adult leagues I know of are non contact. At any given time, there's full-contact box pickup for adults, but I don't know of any formal leagues.

As for field - York U has a team, and if that won't work for you, there's Ontario Senior Men's Field in the fall (full contact), and pickup ball near Toronto in a few spots.

Hey man. Thats awsome you're going to York U. There's a strong possibility that I'll be going there in the fall as well. Contrary to the assumption, York DOESNT have a field lacrosse team :(. I was a bit disapointed but talked to their sports director there on the York U March Gala day. He told me I could start up a club. Maybe you'd be interested in starting up a lacrosse club with me at the school for 06/07.

Rockstar i pm you my email address. Thanks so much for all the help.

I hope to get all my paperwork together soon to finalize my move to TO.

How old are you? Cuz if you're entering as a freshman as I would be doing you should just play Junior or Intermediate boxla and U19 field in the fall if the collegiate field thing doesnt work out

Menikmati18,

I sent you an e-mail with most of what I know. There's two rec indoor leagues that run during the fall, plus Ontario Senior Men's Field and a variety of field pickup east and west of the city.

PM or E-mail me again after you get here.

Is Glendon College the smaller campus at Bayview and Lawrence?

Rockstar thanks for the email that's a ton of info. In st. louis wants your highschool carrer is done there is no more lax. good to see i can keep playing up in TO.

Yeah Glendon is the small campus. I thought it might be better there since i don't know a single person in the entire contry i'm moving to. HA! you know a more close knit atmosphere.
