I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question as we have dyed a head before but after purchasing a new unstrung Wizard head we were told by many people that it would break if we dyed this one.
I'm quite sure unless many of you have heard otherwise this is just some kind of urban myth of a few people , but I can't seem to even get an answer from the manufacturer of the head so I have been searching high and low for an answer.
Anyone else who has heard or seen this negative result with this particular Wizard head?
I would like to do a two color blue and yellow to match the local teams colors.
Thanks again for any help

Ive seen a couple of dyed wizards, that sounds like some dumb local myth. If anything i think it would be better to dye a brand new head than one thats been beaten up.
Id say go for it...but be aware that it will void your warrenty.

I have a dye Wizard, as you can see in my shots. It was a orange to black fade, now is an all black. And Its still in great condition, dosent warp much at all, hasnt broken and has been one of our top midfielders head for 2-3 games now, and hes lovin it.

my friend dyed his wizard black. and he used it on a black f-15 longpole. And dished out a lot of pain with it.

when i was in middle school i remember going to watch the high school teams play, and one of the all-state midfielders at the time had an all black stick i still remember it...proton, black 10d, black shooers, black shaft....which at the time I believe the only availible shafts in black were the f15 and the CU31.
Ive seen many all black sticks since, but that stick is one of the coolest looking sticks i have ever seen.
sorry to get off topic....just remembering the good old days, back in 6th or 7th grade haha

no it wont make it weaker or anything... the wizard in general is very strong... the only problem they have with breakage are where they have the seams by the neck of the head
one of the defenseman on my team broke 3 in 1 1/2 weeks
and then he got another that has lasted him the rest of this season so far

I'm sorry I even had to ask this question as it didn't make any sense to me that the Wizard would be affected any differently by the dyeing process than any other stick but we had been told by a few people so I thought it worthy of asking around here.
I appreciate all the good advice and I already have a Yellow base dyed on the head and it looks pretty wild , and now I'll go for a blue coat over top once I'm done masking some stuff off with tape. Kinda nice that all the local teams essentially have the same colors here in the city , just makes the color selection that much easier.
I'll post up some pictures when it's all done and thank you all for the advice.
The head will be on a Harrow I beam so it should turn out pretty decent.
