alright so im dyeing an old, old edge, and i have many colors. (Orange, Teal, Scarlet, Grey). Anyway, i checked the color chart on the RIT website, and it said that orange cannot be dyed over teal and teal cannot be dyed over orange. What is the truth? which color is lighter?

that is probably the truth. Some colors are just to close to dye over each other. My guess would be teal over orange if that is not true though

It's hard to do because Teal is a yellowish greenish blue and Orange is a yellow red. Your end result will be a brown unless you do a solid fade. Which IMO looks kinda stupid.

Teal and orange don't blend seemingly anyway... Do Scarlet and Orange, or Gray and Teal... Those are better suited for each other, figuring from a designing view.
