i was just wondering, not sure if i saw read this somewhere, but does the "forward cant" on stx offset heads force the ball into a middle pocket and make it difficult to do a low or high pocket?

no, forward cant is the same thing as offset, so no, it makes no difference in your pocket.

Yes the forward cant leads to having a mid-high pocket form naturally in your stick. Although canted heads work much better with a mid pocket, you can still string them with a low pocket pretty easily, but you wont get the benefits of the offset as much.

I hate forward cant for attack, you get a mid-high pocket.

Also Forward Cant is not the same as offset.

Fine...

Offset is when it goes down then straight.

Forward cant is where it slants downwards, thus causing the pocket to form higher up.

In the attachments the Brine head is offset and the STX head has Forward cant. As you can see the STX head slants downwards while the Brine head offsets the goes straight.
