just get any football cleats

soccer cleats usually dont have the ankle support, but any cleats will do

Yea I like football cleats because of the superior ankle support. I know a couple people who have the burns and they also like them a lot.

Get soccer cleats they are lighter and easier to move in. i am thinking about getting these new Kelme's for like 80 but there are a nice pair of puma;s i think they r the bocas that i saw for 45?

I'm thinking about getting Burns, is there any reason I shouldnt get them? They look nice, they also look like they have great grip.

noooo.... football cleats...anyone who wears soccer cleats just screams I SUCK out loud...and usually they do...no offense to you blckout20 ...but football cleats are like what? 3 oz heavier..and offer the ankle support you need for the horizontal movement in lacrosse....soccer is played laterally and you don't need as much ankle support...us laxers are different...get FOOTBALL cleats...

Try getting lacrosse cleats first, and if they are a bit to pricey for you, get football cleats. Phslax, are burns like soccer cleats?

Yes and no, to answer your question. They come in mid and low cuts.

Why? All the burns are is either a soccer cleat with shine or a football cleat with shine. I've heard they were good but I've also heard that football and soccer cleats were good. I myself dont like soccer cleats but I love football cleats. PHSlax, what you said about soccer cleats and the people being bad, that is so true on my team. It pretty much is the line between people who play and those who dont. Its kind of weird, but all of the bad kids have those.

I have football cleats now, but I really want burns. They seem like the ideal peice of footwear for lacrosse players.

I've played soccer since I was 5 so I'm used 2 soccer cleats and I run a lot faster in soccer cleats.

I agree.

But there is supposed to be benefits to the Burn aside from the bling. They have a built in EVA midsole for cushioning, which is practically nonexistant in football and soccer cleats unless your paying for overpriced Nike cleats with Air/Zoom Air. Also, their cleat configuration is different from football/soccer cleats and supposed to be lacrosse-specific. There is an antimicrobacterial lining, which to my knowledge (and I know a lot about them), no soccer or football cleat has. The lacing is also very different from many soccer cleats (we dont need the off center lacing many soccer cleats have). They also have vent holes I've never seen soccer cleats have (Adidas does not make ClimaCool cleats for soccer).

Yeah, Zoom Air is nice, I'm not dissing it. If I had the cash to spend on those mofo's I would but I dont need the off-center lacing and KNG upper. Both of those are just needed for soccer. I'd rather get EVA cushioning for less money.

i use hi-top rugby boots. similar weight as soccer cleats (don't get the american football ones over here). given the scottish weather and that we play a winter league they're really good on soggy, soft and wet pitches because of the huge studs you get on them. great grip! also, i like the ankle support. i have to say that they can get a bit bulky because of the reinforced toe though. work for me...

well...personally I think you should've stayed away from Nike cleats (soccer) don't know a lot about football. I've found them to be awkwardly (sp?) sized and not very durable. i favor Puma's and Adidas but I do own a pair of merc vapors that are pretty nice, slightly uncomfortable in the heel but the lightest cleats you can buy. To me cleats are more about comfort then anything else although I do favor a light cleat and if you tried these cleats on and they seem comfortable then that is really all you need .

Never use soccer cleats...

I used to always use Nike...Sharks...those were great
Then I switched to one of the newer nike designs...cant remember the name of it cause the pieces of crap died after one season...
I hesitantly bought the Burns myself (no freebies)...Yes they are a little more expensive, but DAMN DOG...they are comfortable as he!!, give good grip/traction...and the mids have decent support...
They are more than flash...I bet if warrior made it themselves it would be flashy crap...but NB made sure it is a quality piece of footware...
I'll be sending my review to LN tonight for posting later...

Yeah man, I trust new balance, they're the only sneakers I wear and they look and are a lot more durable than the space boot looking crap that Nike and Reebok have out.

In terms of which cleat, I'd reccomend soccer cleats for middies attack and goalie and football for d, since on D you really need the support. It all does boil down to personal preference, and if you're a soccer player, there's no sense getting used to football cleats....

Nike mercurial vapors are the best cleats. No cleats are better than they are hands down.

its really personal preference, but id say football cleats are best the burns look cool... but also its not the cleat that make the person its the person that cleat (i think)
