So here is the deal. I haven't been playing lacrosse that long, but I have improved a lot over the course of a little over a year. But ever since I started playing, I have wanted to play box, but all I could play was field, because that is all they have in AZ and CO. So I was thinking, since I have a lot of relatives all over Ontario, I could maybe go play some box in the summer, which would help improve my skills. I would just have to get the logistics worked out of who I would live with. The only problem is, would it even be possible for me to play? I am 17, and while I am decently good at lacrosse, I'm not fantastic. At this age level, is it even plausible for me to make a team, or should I just resign myself to playing summer field here in Colorado?

yea its possible, but the only thing i can think of doing is going to a box camp. there is one in orangeville that is one of the best in ontario that covers box and field fundementals. box season would be just about over in the summer time and i dont know any leagues you can play in besides pick up leagues if they are still going on.

the link the orangeville lax camp is http://www.truenorthlacrosse.com/camps_04.php

pm me if you have any more questions

You would qualify for intermediate house league , if you could find an organization that runs intermediate house league and... usually house leagues are over by the end of school, end of June. For summerball, you would have to hook up with maybe a C or D level 'rep' (allstar or travel team) intermediate team and most of them are getting started now... if you serious about playing, get your hooks in now. I am sure there is a rep intermediate team looking for an extra player...

if your still interested in that camp, you should register asap. the kids in orangeville are lacrosse crazy, and a few years ago was named the lacrosse capital of canada.
