I'm rooting for the US because my boy Brian Ching is on the team. Gotta pick up one of his jerseys when they release the ones with the player names on them. But Brazil will probably win, and the best part about the WC is I'm out of school for it all so I can watch all the games. Woohoo!

My friend almost got tickets to go for his graduation gift and would have taken me. . . but he decided to get something else.

Needless to say I was angry when he told me.

All of those Team USA commercials have really gotten me pumped for this. Is England or Ireland playing?

I would love to see the US go far, regardless though Brazil has a great shot of winning it. Ronaldhino is amazing.

Ireland did not qualify despite having (in my opinion) one of the more solid teams around. They just didnt have the Luck of the Irish this Year. Robbie Keane=God

England did qualify and is one of the favorites to win it.

very excited. Brazil is the best team by a long shot (obviously)

I just hope korea goes far, which is possible given their eas(ier) bracket.

i am away for the heart of it at camp. but i am very excited for it. its always exciting and i think the fact that it only comes around every 4 yrs is great. a little off track but i must say their commerical about that country (forget the name) that was at war but then the team qualifyied and leaders agreed to stop b/c a country divided couldnt cheer on their team. very very moving and i felt that it was a great ad. i cant wait til the world cup. goooo us

Brazil is the obvious powerhouse going in...
I really think the dutch have a good shot at beating them, as do the Brits if Rooney can go.

Rooney won't play until the knockout stages if he plays at all, And I think England's performance will more depend on how well Stephen Gerrard and Frank Lampard play in the midfeild.

I think Argentina will do very well, and I also think Carlos Tevez will be the best youg player at the WC.

Brazil are yet again the team to beat - and all the usual suspects should do well (Argentina, Spain, Germany) also look for France to make a big improvement over last time and possibly challenge. England can do well but you cant take 1 fit striker to the world cup and expect to win, possibly semi-finals though. A good showing from USA will help soccers popularity over there, so I hope they get to the knock-outs.

My exams finish before the world cup so have got nothing to do but drink beer, eat BBQ and watch all the football, cant wait.
