So guys, we all know the Beatles are the creators of modern music as we know it. . .

what is your favorite Beatles song?

whats your favorite Beatles CD?

Who was your favorite Beatle?

etc.

My favorite Beatles song definetly goes to "Here Comes the Sun", such a good one.

My favorite Beatle was either Lennon or Harrison, Harrison was the unsung hero of the Beatles, he wrote Here Comes the Sun, As My Guitar Gently Weeps, etc.

Yeah - that's definetly a close second. . . but there are so many good ones it's hard to pick:

All The Lonely People
Revolution
Helter Skelter
Strawberry Fields
Penny Lane
Hello Goodbye
Hey Jude
Let it Be
Ob-la-dee
Can't Buy Me Love
Happiness is a Warm Gun
. . .

I could go on forever

I don't think so... if it does then "Rockestra Theme" is my favorite...

If it doesn't,
Song:"Eleanor Rigby"

Album: 1 (Ok, ok, Revolver)

Member: Ringo Starr (Not as good solo, but his personality I like, as well as his voice.)

The you are probably the only other person along with myself who sings along to Octopus' Garden....

And if we're going the ketchup is a vegetable route, my favorite solo artist song (from the aforemention like of Lennon) is Instant Karma! (All Shine On).

Lennon's solo career would have owned everyone elses, IMO... :banghead: :guns:

But yeah, "Working Class Hero" is one of the loves of my life.

What about least favorite Beatles song?
I can't really think of one.

You guys should listen to 'Happiness Is a Warm Gun' -- the lyrics and vocals are really good, and I feel it is overlooked.

I think it was meant as more of a joke, as its lyrics aren't exactly the deepest or most meaningful. Then again, Yellow Submarine's lyrics aren't either...

Favorite album--Revolver--the beginning of their experimental phase

Favorite song--I'm Only Sleeping and Fixing a Hole

Favorite Beatle--John

I like the "overlooked" songs, like "Your Mother Should Know" and "Dig A Pony" more than their standard classics. Since their albums are so amazing, they have several of these lost gems on every release.

Strawberry Fields should have been on Sgt Pepper
Come Together should have been on the White Album--Abbey Rd truly begins with "Something"
Across the Universe is an amazing song, and it should have been put on an album.
*I'm in no position to tell the Beatles how to structure their albums, but the more you listen to these songs and the albums, the more it makes sense...

favorite Beatles song?
whats your favorite Beatles CD?
Who was your favorite Beatle?

Fave album: "Wonderwall Music." Ha, ha, JK.

I don't have a single Beatles CD. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I don't even have all their albums. I do have the Japanese pressings of "Revolver" and "Rubber Soul," and I suppose some people might have good reason to think those were their two best albums. I think there might some variation between the content of the Japanese pressings and that of the US pressings.

Actually, I'm partial to Apple's second-biggest selling group. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badfinger)

Fave song.... Hmm, no one in particular. Moondog mentioned "Across the Universe." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Across_the_Universe) I like that. Wikipedia says it was on "Let It Be." I guess I like the spacy ones - "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "I Am the Walrus," which is really a bizarre tune. I don't think the Beatles version of "Tomorrow Never Knows" was the best, nor was their version of "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" the best. How about "Teddy Boy?" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teddy_Boy_%28song%29) Anyone have that?

Fave Beatle: Yoko.

JK again. No favorite. Pete Best?

"Eleanor Rigby"

and "Hey Jude"

People should watch the Paul McCartney- Live in Red Square DVD.
It's not all the Beetles but Beetle's music, and in Communist Russia. It's very good.

Are there two versions of "Revolution 1"?
I'm not talking about "Revolution 9". . .

The "Revolution 1" on The White Album is slow and relatively subdued, but I found this version on-line and it starts out with this really loud and fast electric guitar, and Paul (or John, don't know who is singing) just starts out with a screaming "yeaahhhhhh!!!". . . and the song ends in the electric guitar and the singer screaming "All Right! All Right!"

Anybody heard this, and know which CD it is on?

Anybody heard this,

Ummm, once or twice.

and know which CD it is on?

CD? Puh-leeze. "The first version of 'Revolution' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolution_(The_Beatles)) to be released [was on] the B-side of the "Hey Jude" single, released in early September 1968."

Notes on "Revolution" and "Revolution 1" (http://www.icce.rug.nl/~soundscapes/DATABASES/AWP/r.html) says it was released in August 1968.
