Brosnan and Connery were without a doubt the bests Bonds ever. It's a shame the way Pierce found out he'd been dropped. They didnt even tell him, he found out through seeing the new guy say it on TV.

This movie looks super Meh. Looks like most new movies with recycled plotlines, stunts, and everything else thats been done before. I'll consider seeing this one once it hits the racks of the video stores, but before that I'm not that excited.

Plus I hate having to adjust btwn different people playing the same character :-\

Problem is it's not just Bond movies. It's essentially all movies within the recent history of film making. E.G. every remake that's been done in the past couple years.... :monkey:

As for who the girl will be: I just hope its not antoehr American, it never works, Bond is British, and his women should be ...well...not american.

Daniel Craig (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Craig) , the first blond bond (Moore's hair was sandy) has had a few hollywood films, though none I can specifically remeber him being a villian in, though Road to Perdition maybe he was one of many guys Tom Hanks killed. Most recently he was Steve the Afrikaaner Jew in Munich.

The idea behind doing Casino Royale, Fleming's first Bond novel/story is an attempt to rehash the the series many felt stagnated with the last 2 Brosnan films. The Broccolis (well mostly the children now) have decided on the Batman Bgeins appraoch by returning Bond to his roots and going with how he became a "double O" agent. However some things will remain the same, Judy Dench is returning as M though John Cleese will not be making a return as the 2nd Q because Q was not present in the original novel and they are striving for a close adaptation. The other major change is the reintroduction of Bond's CIA chum Felix Leiter (who was maimed in License to Kill, the final Timothy Dalton (who was only made Bond because NBC would't release Brosnan from Remington Steele, though I didn't mid Dalton at all) movie) but as an African American.

For those questioning who will play Vesper Lynd the "first" Bond Girl, I direct your eyes to ogle Eva Green (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eva_Green).

I can't wait to finally see this movie (as a "serious" movie, not that Jimmy Bond farce), as I am a big Bond fan. The other month while still cleaning out my old room I happened upon my small collection of Fleming novels so those'll be good for a re-read.

Craig was great in both Road to Perdition and Munich. In Munich he was a good guy, but in Road to Perdition he was the cowardly murderer.
