do any of you live in a geography that has a high school level program that is not part of the school system? i am not referring to an "elite" program - i mean a true replacement alternative to the local High School team.

let me know

thanks

I coach at one. Lacrosse is not a sanctioned sport out here, but just about every team we have is associated with a particular school and uses the name and mascot of said school. Some schools don't like it, some don't mind, some are oblivious.

here, our team is unaffiliated with the school but we use its name and logo anyways, since all our players are from the same school. I think that's how many of the public schools in texas are.

That is exactly what my team is, we have nothing to do with the school. we still use the name and mascott and all the players consist of kids that go to my school....the school just won't sponsor a team yet
