was anyone else at this game?? Duxbury won 10-5 but it was a much much closer game than that. To be honest i was not that impressed by Duxbury. They are a very very SOLID team but i do not think they will hang with the maryland prep schools in the national tournament. And i was really not impressed by Quinzani. He had 4 goals, however his first 2 were off scrambles for ground balls where he stood off to the side and the ball conviently got slapped or flipped over there during the scarmble. Then with about 3 minutes to go duxbury was up 10-5 and Quinzani got a penalty (push from behind with possession) the parents on the sidelines booed the ref...and then quinzani bowed to the crowd..It was such an arrogant and cocky move on his part. i know everyone is gonna flame me for saying this, but if you were at the game and don't think Quinzani is a god then you will think it was arrogant to. It just was not necessary for a good player to do

wellesley is probably the 2nd best team in MA...so if they looked like junk, there's a reason for that.
Also, Duxbury has proven itself by destroying some of NY's best this season. Duxbury has one fatal flaw-they get shut down on the zone. But it's hard to say that winning 10-5 is something that's a letdown. Many people said Wellesley was going to beat Duxbury today.

dude honestly...wellesley looked REALLY REALLY good...the game was much much closer than the scoreboard indicated. Wellesley defense is tough and they played zone for much of the game. Wellesley's goalie probably played the best game i've ever seen in net. He made a highlight reel of great saves. Wellesley's weak spot was its offense

Wellesley is a very good team, which is why they made Duxbury look much worse than they truly are. Clearly, Coach Gelinas did his homework and saw that Duxbury doesn't play the zone well.
I've met Quinzani and know the kid. He's a very nice kid. If you wanna see some cocky *******s who make lacrosse look like a crap sport, then look at Darien. They're unanimously hated throughout Connecticut; however, Duxbury gets a much different impression in MA, and that's for a distinct reason.
If you talked to the kid after the game, he would've given a much different impression. Ask any kid who attended Topgun camp or simply plays Duxbury during the year. Quinzani is a good kid, and he's had a rough year. He entered the year as the most marked man in MA lacrosse, with a points record over his head and about 20 or so teams scouting him constantly and finding a way to shut him down (which has been discovered: the zone). Then, the Duke scandal happens and his dream of playing collegiate lacrosse for a top school is completely ruined. And then, he gets arrested for having beer bottles in his car while driving. And now that he's likely going to eclipse Casey Powell's HS points record, he's getting scrutinized from every lacrosse nut from California to Georgia.
By all means, try having a word with the kid and you'll see a much different perspective from him. Trust me, TLF members know that I am clearly not afraid to point out guys who are dicks at high levels of lacrosse...I've pointed out more than a few, especially one who's quite the lacrosse god around here.

yeah...i'm not trying to take anything away from the kid...he is a disgusting player. One of my close friends was friends with Quinzani growing up. I just thought he didn't need to act that way when he was already having a great game. Then again i don't have to face that pressure every game. It was a great game to watch though. #7, a long pole from wellesley play a great game on Quinzani. It was a sweet battle to watch all game

Definetly. He's a great guy, really nice and pretty down to earth. He likes to teach kids stuff and hang around with them, which shows me that he's not some a-hole who thinks he's god. (If you can't tell, I went to Top Gun)

Sorry to sidetrack, but who?

duxbury was not really a bunch better...Wellesley held their own and it was a much closer game than the 10-5 score
