I started playin lax 2 years ago and im gettin good. I'm playing jv for my hs but ever since i got my stick it has caught the top of my head and gone straight down (hits the lip) but by now i am used to it and all my passes and shots are good. So im wondering since my season just ended if i should get a completley new head and just start over? In other words is it gonna screw me in the future. All my friends try to throw with my stick and it catches the lip so they always tell me " get a new stick"
So any thoughts???

All that matters is if it works for you. If you like your stick, keep it, if you have your heart set on a new one, nobody here is going to stop you.

If you want to get rid of lip though, tighten the top shooter and make each shooter going down looser and looser, like a staircase.

Get a piece of nylon and weave it on the top, 1 diamon from the topstring, and make it as tight as possible. This will prevent any lip.

That could help, but not necessarily. If the shooters below it are too lose, the nylon will just be a substitute for the bottom of the scoop.
