tight makes it more consistant b/c the pocket won't slide as much

Loose doesnt really do anything good. keep them really tight. Loose sidewalls just make and inconsistent pocket. If you want it to be deep then pound out the pocket

Yes you can. It will be a better pocket too.

by pulling the sidewalls are tight as possible, it makes is easier to make both sidewalls symmetrical

i think you should make them really tight because you want to stretch out your mesh not the string... you dig

im a really good stringer, i always pully my sidewall as tight as it can go, so when i finish it is like a girls stick there is no pocket. But all i do is run some boiling water over the mesh and sidewall and pound away, and bam, i can make it illegal, but keeping the sidewall as tight as possible.

I usally string my sidewalls tight and was wondering what would happen if the sidewalls were loose, so i strung a pocket up with loose sidewalls on my answer and it is the best pocket i've ever used. Everyone on my team loves the pocket too.
Its very accurate and great hold. BTW i tried doing s pocket with loose sidewalls on my triton and it was horrible so it may be just a complete accident it is so good

I always do sidewalls as tight as I can because they will stretch out a little and become looser also the pocket stays more of the same depth instead of varying a lot,

I stung a cali pocket in mine, and left it loose at the bottom and it turned out to be my best ever, increased the hold but has no whip......but it's on a torque and everything feels so good on a torque

it rlly depends on the mesh when i was younger (aka before i heard bout jimalax) i got some brine hardmesh thats dyed red and i could barely break it in for the life of me. i had to end up usin loose sidewalls to make it a good depth. if your a good stringer its not imposibble to make a good pocket with loose sidewalls though. any good stringer should be able to make the pocket even if u cant then u need some work.

i didnt cut the mesh i had a different guy string it at first and he did it without asking me. pretty gay i know
