View Full Version : Low/High pocket

I wasn't real happy with how the low pocket felt on my evo, so I started messing around with it.
I ended up with a mid/low (feels low to me) pocket that throws like a high pocket.
The mesh is tight at the top, and theres a nylon that kind of acts as the scoop.
I really like the feel of a high pocket, but I also like the ball sitting farther down in the throat. So, here it is.

looks good. i dont understand the point of making the bottom string so complicated but whatever u want. how does it throw?

Well, I did the bottom string like that to make the mesh tighter farther up the throat. It keeps the ball up in the U better. More of a high pocket feel.

It throws really good. Good hold and minimal whip. I could get even less whip if I rolled the shooters.

thats definitely not mid/low, thats just mid. good job though. i too am a throat string connoseiur(sp?)

Yeah, its pinched. I put some flare in it. Its almost illegal. Shhh ;]

It feels low to me. lol. It totally shifted though. Now its like mid-high. I like it too much to change it.

Yeah I like the bottom string.

Btw that is definattly not a mid/low pocket. Its more mid/high.
