This would probably be a good thread for the Lacrosse Tips and Instruction Forum, but while I'm reading this I'll go ahead and post;
tip number 1: ALWAYS MOVE YOUR FEET. 'nuff said.
This is one of the best tips, wears the defensive man down quickly. Also, always be thinking pass first, than move down in progression to shoot. Heres a link that includes 30 tips all for attackmen and a very reliable source: http://www.laxlinks.com/tips/attack/attack.htm

If you are gonna dodge, don't hesitate make the split or roll and go. Otherwise you are gonna get hit.

I try to be as silent as possible, so learn to move your feet as quiet as possible.

try to remember everything you do as a D man that makes attackmen angry... now think of how you can get around that and score.

Exactly, you should know what stops attackmen and how to execute it, and what makes defensemen just keep their distance, it's like having the answers to a test. How are you playing on JV and V though?

I did it... you just make sure that you run extra during practice and after so you have the stamina to swing both.
Sucks for middies like me though :whyme:
But the reason I opened this is because my coach pulled me aside and told me to consider playing attack, so I think that I am going to try and do it.
Thanks for the laxtips page.

get one of your griends thats a d-pole to sit their and poke at you. while he is doing this try to move as little as possible and jus try to keep him form hittimg stick this will help you learn to sit there and look for a feed whil you have a dman poking you. i do this with my friends that are d-pole. i am a 2nd year attack and i'm not that bad for our league. started a couple. any way this helped me a ton cause now i don't have to worry about pokes and can look for a tight feed. theres nothin better than a pictur perfect feed

i know what you mean, doing this should help with my defence and attack skills. and i'm playing V as a pole and JV as an unexperienced (?) attack. just swinging down to JV.
also to everyone, i got a warning for this thread. why?

attack is all about the 3 S's
1. Speed
2. Stick skills
3. Stamina
you could also say Size as a 4th one but if the other 3 are there your good

Work on basd angle shooting, and moving from behind the net, and never stop moving.
