Legal Stick? Wrapped Cord

Some players tape a single wrapped cord to their stick in a spiral fashion to give themselves a better feel and grip. Is this a legal stick?

Only problem I could see is if it made the shaft circumference too large (can't be more than 3.5 inches).

The exact rule is:

The circumference of the crosse handle shall be no more than 3 1/2 inches.

So, no, it doesn't include the plug (in my interpretation) since that's not part of the handle.

yeah you can do that its the same thing as rolling up tape and putting it on your stick.
