I play for a JV team this year and i'm going to play for our varsity team next year. I want to get a video camera to tape my last couple games this year and my varsity games this year. I want a good camera that has a good zoom and good quality. I don't want to spend that much money($300 MAX). I was wondering if any one had a good sports video camera that they know works well for experience. Sorry, this is sort of a prefrence thread but it's not really on lacrosse so please don't delete it.

I have a sony right now...Ill find out the make/model later...
You do not want ANY 8mm product...
DVC is still pretty popular, quality stuff, and getting cheap...it is digital analog meaning it is digital..but still has tape (very special coating on it and way of making it make it an equal just about to digital)...
Then there is the direct to dvd...personally i do not like these...why? editing purposes...then you have to rip it to your comp...not to mention dvds will soon (in a couple years) be replaced by bluray...
lastly is the harddrive cameras...JVC was the first to make one and in my opinion is a great idea...dont have to worry about format...or buying media...or damaging media, or forgetting to bring it with you...my only question on these is the price...
