Well Im in a public school right now, but for varsity lacrosse it seems like you'll get better instruction/experience at a private school. Also, it seems like recruitment possibilities for good colleges are much better at private schools than public? What do you think?

True that. I went to a private school for Middle School and our lax program was amazing. We had the same gear, right down to the cleats.
I go to a public high school now, and we dont get team gear, but it's still a good program.
I think that private schools can hire better coaches but that doesnt necissarily mean that all private schools are better. Actually, thats a fact... not all are.

i agree w/ check that the private schools are recruited more heavily and also cuz lacrosse in MO isnt school funded so yeah we have to buy everything ourselves plus support the club i think private schools give a lot more support to lacrosse

i definatly think private schools have an advantage, i am from arguably the best lacrosse area in the nation ( i live down the road from both landon and g prep, mabie not as good as baltimore but almost) and all the talent really goes to schools such as landon, g prep, bullis, and St. Albans, because of this a lot of the public schools are deprived of a lot of talent... dont get me wrong some of the public schools such as wooton, Walter Johnson, and Walt Whitman are VERY legit teams, but if you look at Bethesda Chevy chase you almost feel sorry because they would be AMAZING (this is not to say they are a bad team, theyv got some skillz and that is where id be if i didn't go to private school) if all the great lacrosse kids in their district went to BCC instead of a private school.

Depends on where you are. Where I grew up playing lacrosse, connecticut, publics always trounced the privates. Still true to this day. And where I coach now, arizona, it's the same.
