I brought this up because our new coach played for the 1993 syracuse championship team and he was mvp of the playoffs. what experience does your coach have?

our coach played D1 college as a middie...long time ago, as he is now shaped like a planet (small legs to bigger part of leg to huge stomach to smaller upper body)...nonetheless he knows his stuff.
of our assistants, one played for Notre Dame, one for Indiana, one plays for Toledo, and one played goalie somwhere...

its funny though that my coach last year had no experience but the assistants were all-americans.

Our coach is Doug Shanahan of the Chicago Machine. He has 3 years of experience with the MLL at Philadelphia. He played at Hofstra and was All American his last two years. He played for the 2002 Men's US team and will play for the 2006 Men's USA Team and will play for the Chicago Shamrocks in the NLL this fall.

My 8th grade coach was Roy Colsey, from syracuse, plays for philly, i shouldnt have to go on about his credentials. he is possibly going to be helping out with our varsity team next year. which would be good because having someone who is so involved with the game helps a ton. this year, we had a kids brother who graduated from Amherst help out with out team and it made a hige difference. The other brother still goes to Amherst and is a AA there, was a NESCAC rookie of the year a coupple of years back.

So this thread makes me want to cry now. Why? Because the other day, we officially became a varsity team, and now we are screwed as far as coaching goes. The district requires all coaches to have 64 hours of college, and the only one of our coaches who does is the coach is not only knows nothing about lacrosse, but is a bad coach in general.

Head Coach- None. Seriously none at all. Let me give you an example;
In our last game, our Face-Off Man's stick was checked by refs, it was legal before the game, but is ruled illegal after many faceoffs. Coach says: "_____, WHY IS YOUR STICK ILEGAL!?!!?" ____ says "Coach, I face off." Coach says "That doesent change anything!" One of our assistant coaches had to explain to him over the course of 10 minutes that facing off pinches your stick.
Our first a. coach played DII I think.
Our second a. coach played at Utica, and the JV coach played at Lemoyne last year, Adam Carne.
