These kids are so lucky to get the oppurtunity to play in this game. I wish i could go, ill just watch it on TV. Its interesting to see now that they didnt do it by region, obviously the majority were from the east coast. It was nice to see Yeatman, and the twins from texas making the list though.

what i notice is the lack of ohio players. no offense to california or texas, but ohio is a much bigger lacrosse state. at one point ohio had 2 teams (upper arlington and western reserve) ranked in the top 25 while no team from texas or california has been ranked by IL.

Although Ohio may have better teams, this is not a matter of teams. Great players can come out of anywhere. The kids from texas going to Denver are mad good, and Will Yeatman from Cali was one of the highest recruited players in the nation. Also California has had several teams break the IL top 25.

how did all these kids get noticed as all-american? i know i wouldn't have a chance because i live in GA...
Thats not true^ there are kids from conneticut, New Hampshire, Texas, all over the place.Heres how they chose http://www.insidelacrosse.com/page.cfm?pagerid=2&news=fdetail&storyid=128626, and also one more thing does anyone else think its really weird that therse a mike burns on the list who plays midfiel going to UNC where there is another mike burns who plays attack. I thought that was really weird. And u know what else sucks, Brian Carrol made it and not his twin, harsh.

I think I've played against the kid from Loomis on the North team. I'm not completely sure but at a tryout I was playing against him and did pretty good I thought. It might just be a different kid from Loomis though, they have a real good team.

I'm suprised Steve Dircks from Mountain Lakes is not on that roster. He has to be one of the best defenders i've seen touch the field.

i played a few of the kids on that list. I played Mike Burns twice this spring. Then i played Greg Casey from Lasalle, Jon Borror from Haverford school, and I played Paul Barnes from Haverford last winter in indoor, but i have played Jon Borror and Paul Barnes last fall in a fall ball league over in PA. Needless to say all these kids on these rosters are probably hands down the best players in the country.
Coaches have to nominate. Most probably MO kids weren't nominated. Lonny Blumenthal of Lafayette (St. Louis) and Spencer Hampton of DeSmet (St. Louis) might have made this squad. Maybe not, but it would have been nice to have two of the best in midwest be on this team. Both were highly recruited. Lonny will be heading to Wesleyan University and Spencer to West Point. Lonny has put up ungodly numbers thoughout his 4 year varsity career. Few people quicker and more deceptive. Spence is a terrific LPM with size, speed and ability. They will be fun to track in their college careers. They both represented MOLOAX extremely well. We will miss Lonny's moves, feeds, etc. and we will miss Spencer's hard-nose play.

Im not positive on this yet but yesterday Mike Burns broke his wrist in a playoff game. He went to the hospital right after the game. I havent heard the results yet but i guess they would have to pick up a new midi if he did break his wrist.
