Hey I was just looking that this... You can actually find a little more in-depth of a scoop at www.underarmourlacrosse.com
It's kind of funny tha the South Team has absolutely no southern people on it. Basically, besides TX and CA, it is just sound in relation to the North Eastern area...

I dunno if its deffinite, but Mike Burns may of broke his wrist yesterday in a playoff game. He went to the hospital right after the game ended. If its broken i guess they would have to pick up another midi.

I just noticed this:
Men's Selection Committee:
Chair: Gary Gait
Assistant Chair: Adam O'Neill
Committee Members: Dick Edell, John Jiloty, Mike Keegan, Kip Fulks, Andy Bilello, Neal Goldman
How sweet would it be to get picked as one of the best lacrosse players in the nation by the king himself? That would make my life...
Does anyone know which of these kids are Boys' Latin guys?
nictolax21
05-28-2006, 01:33 PM
Chris Boland attackman for the south is from Boys' Latin. Man, Hopkins is getting some kids this year. I would watch them in the years to come.

Wow, thats quite a list of players and only 2 from CT?!?!?! I thoguht we were better than that lol. But Nizolek, from Hand. Basically, I played against him, and he is siiick. I cannot imagine that no kids from like Darien made it.

Yeah, burns is a teamate of mine. Good player, very athletic, one hell of a shot and a wrap check. Got hurt though, but hopefully not enough that he wouldnt play.

michael powers from massapequa is a midfielder, not an attackman, yet he is listed as attack.
i guess it is a typo or something, or maybe they just didnt realize that he is a midfielder. although im sure he wouldve made it anyway because he is an incredibly smart and strong lacrosse player, does anyone else find it odd that he isnt even selected in his actual position?
^ no not at all, he could be a converted middie or attackmen, and probably tried out for the team as an attackman, not strange at all really. Also i think its weird that mike burns is going to UNC were there already is a mike burns who plays attack.

chris dixon from duxbury is naaasty. his stick skills are so good that he switches sticks on the sideline to get a short pole and then goes onto man-up
SwRLaX10D
05-31-2006, 07:25 AM
yeah, quinzani and dixon are ill. I'd honestl liked to see Chris Ritchie (Mt.Sinai) on that list. He broke Liam Banks' Suffolk career points record.
Powers recently switched to the attack position.

I don't get this, whats the point of announcing "under armour all americans" when the season wasn't over in some states? Also I had a senior on my team that was an all american last year as a junior, and won midfielder of the year this year along with being an all american and didn't get selected. I donno I'm not saying its not legit, its just that I think they should have waited a bit.

Actually i was told he's going to PENN
So was I, but then I heard from another person that he was actually staying. He still likes what Duke offers, is what the person said.

I saw that on TV last night.
The commentators kept mentioning how the former North vs. South game turned into a political war, not picking the best players possible. Picking players from the west. I'm really glad that UA was able to revive it after it went under.

will yeatmen is a BEAST
seriously dude...he's amazing.
he's going to Notre Dame on a full lacrosse scholarship, but he's gonna be a walk-on starter on the football team too.
the only reason he's on a lacrosse scholarship is because they contacted him and got him to commit before football could.

Yeatmen has to be the best athlete I've heard of. Being able to get recuited to play football and lacrosse at some pretty big schools (MD and ND). Damn.
