Yes, I am aware of the fact these shafts are no longer in production, But they can be found in a few stores and on Ebay. So i am writing this on the off chance you see one on ebay and was wondering about it...
Appearence- Oh so boring. Haha, I must admit, it is kind of dumb. It is simply a shiny shaft, with a Red STX logo on it, and a few lines. It takes up about 6 inches of the shaft. I would of liked some pretty lines weaving in and out over at least 12 inches of the shaft, but 6? How sad. Looks dont really count, but anyways, Some of you like pretty shafts.
Grip- I like this grip. It is very nice to me... But i like almost all grips?? Hmm, Lets see. It has nice curved inward edges, Just how i like them, And has a somewhat warrior like grip... Just how i like them. So yes, This is the right grip for me, and i must admit, I wish all shafts were the same as it.
Durability- *Shakes head*. The downfall of this shaft, The durability. This shaft dents like nothing i have ever owned. I dont know if i got a bad one, or what, but this just plain sucks. I mean, I dont see it breaking or bending in the future, but its just covered in dents. I Have had it for maybe 2 months, and i have dents all along the shaft, and not just little knicks, and small dents. Like large, tip of index finger fits in curve, dent. I really thought this shaft would be quite strong, Because it seems a lot of the older members on the Boards swear by them. I am dissapointed with the durability, i was expecting much more.
Weight- Finally, something good with this shaft outside of the grip! The weight is awesome. According to a website i recently looked at it comes out to about 6.2 ounces, which is very light. It is a perfect combo with a somewhat light head like the STX profile Or Warrior Evolution.
Overall I would give this shaft an 8.0 out of ten. The durability is the main factor. All though it wont bend or break, I really dont like my shafts being covered in dents and such. It has soft metal i guess.... If you are very good at protecting your shaft with your body, than this might work ok for you. It would also work if you dont mind there to be about 3 thousand dents along the length of your shaft as you cradle and switch hands. If you are looking for a shaft in the 50-60 dollar range (at some websites) than i would looking into a krpytolyte, or even a warrior Platinum (see my other review). I just dont really reccomend this from the constant dents and dings inflicted upon it.
