The STX Ipros

Protection- This is soooooooooo *gasp* ooooooo good on these gloves. Thave have very good protection, with 3 peice fingers and very hard, lightweight padding on the top. They also have very nice protection on the sides of fingers, a place where most gloves dont put much protection. THey have plastic inserts there, so there is little pain when hit. The only problem with the protection is the pinky finger, Because it is only a 2 peice finger. Almost no gloves have put 3 parts to the pinky finger, resulting in less protection and mobility, but the 2 peice protects enough that it wont hurt very bad when hit there, it is mostly just an annoying hit. The wrists have great protection, with a floating cuff for added support.

Flexibility/Mobility- Just one word, Awesome. They come with the STX game ready feel, and are very very flexible right out of the bag. The thumb might be a little stiff at first, but that clears up if you bend it a few times, they are very flexible. The wrist is also nice, the floating cuff is nice and flexible. These are very good in the flexibilty range.

Appearence- Seeeexy. These gloves look very nice. I have mine in Black/Grey and they are sweet. They have A cool looking vent hole on top too :)

Grip- I love the grip. It has the usual leather/mesh combo that STX is known for. The best part about it is the leather. It is nice and tacky, so it holds onto your stick almost for you. Its a rough leather. I have had mine for a good 2 weeks of games every tuesday and thursday, and there is no sign of the stitching coming out or anything on the palms. A very nice feature to these gloves.

Ventilation- This is the only downside of this gloves. The ventilation could be much better on these puppies. STX has the coolmax in it, which helps quite a bit with sweating and smell and such, But it feels like your hands are stuck in 110 degree weather when the rest of your body is in 90 degrees. They could have improved on this, but it is a very slight downfall, considering how good the rest of the features are.

Overall I would give these gloves a 9.3 out of 10. They have very very good features on everything except the ventilation, but that is a small price to pay for the rest of the reedeming factors on these gloves. I would say these are a must buy for anyone looking for a very flexible and protective glove. The protection might be a little overkill for defense, but all of you offensive players out there, these are your gloves!

And i know that i had this on the bottom of slinky's thread, but people looking for just a review probably wouldnt look through the whole thread... More people looking for it would see it this way.

whats the difference between Ipro and I2?

Ipro is the newer version. Supposedly better protection, more flexible, etc.

I sat in my room last night for an hour putting ipros on, then my macs, the macs are tighter to me. But not by too much. IT may just be that im more used to macs.

can you take some pics of the palm side possibly?

Im sorry, Im stuck without a camera at the moment, But there are some pics in this thread http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=35103&highlight=ipro+review

I think if you scroll down a bit, there are some pics of it with the palms still intact from another user.

Everything said in Marflax's reveiw is what I would say about the I-pros. I love mine.

The protection near the pinky is definitely lacking. Not long after I bought mine last year the floating cuff ripped off and the mesh on the palm began ripping. After a trip to the local china-man shoe repair they were great, but thats after I had all the seams reinforced.

Theres one of those velcro parts that connects the cuffs near the wrists, they make the glove really tight. And the floating wrist guard is a pain when trying to drop them. Good, not great gloves, and the Macs are better, i'd even go for Defts over these.

i have bigger palms with stubbier fingers, i'm curently using tempos and i dont like them. any ideas... i was thinking choppers or the ipros, but you said that they fit your small palms and long fingers and that may not work for me.
