if the duke scandal had never happened to you think duke wouldve had a potential chance of beating UVA?

ALl the conversation would be about Duke cuz they would be the favorites
you don't know because most of their season was cancelled
they could have been overrated or underrated

No, duke would not be anywhere near the level of play that UVA is at. If you watched maryland v uva, Maryland was ranked number 2 o 3 and uva was 1. So you think huge game, should be great...wrong. Awful, UVA dominance! The wahoos are at a different level than everyone else is and duke would have still been a level lower. UVA was not picked cause they had question marks, but those questionmarks were answered with some of the most stellar play in the country.

lol yeah they would've had a "potential chance" i would have a potential chance. an empty soda can would have a potential chance. but i really doubt it would happen...it certainly wouldn't be a forgone conclusion, though. that duke team is oozing with talent, much moreso than UVa ever was or is now, but UVa is just playing with such chemistry, its tough to say duke would be favored over em

Ya, i agree with lovinlax77. By the looks of it no one can stop UVA, but hey you never no cuz Duke didnt have a chance!

having been to a duke game and watching plenty of uva games i can say that duke would have won. however it would be very close, possibly OT. dukes ofense is just so fast i dont think uva would have cought them.

its all about if's. It's hard to say whether a team could have gone to the Championship when their season was cancelled so early on, maybe if it was cancelled before one of the last game's of the seasons we would have had a better idea, but from now on its hard to tell. UVA has a great team and I am a huge fan (since I met them in Spring 02, pretty much my only reason :D) but Duke could have probably done damage and changed the rankings of the top teams.
The big question is now whether Duke will have a team next year. I believe during the UVA game they were talking about how they were going to have a meeting soon to decide if lacrosse would return next year and how they were talking about how it could take 3-4 years to get a good program back up.
