Gait Icon(30$) review
Durability- Oh yes. Durability wise, for the price, This thing is an absolute Tank. I mean, Ive had this longer than any of my other heads... Almost a year and a half, And all it has gotten from the year of beating is 2 hairline cracks that effect the performance of this head in no way. I am 100 percent impressed by this head's durability. It is strong enough for any position, And even stiff enough for defensive heads. Definently good for all positions, and very strong.
Pinch- Once again, "Oh yes". The pinch on this is very good, But for those of you who like insane ball handling and tricks, than this probably wouldnt be your first choice. It has a pinch similar to most all around heads, Somewhat wide, but not wide to the point it is sacraficing in ball control at all. The pinch is just enough to have very good ball control, than it widens out to have a very good catching surface on top. Well done Gait on this one. The most Pinched part of the throat Is almost Exactly 3 inches, and the widest part on top is around 6 3/4. All in all a nice pinch.
Weight- Umm... Let me check. Still not getting anything, i think it is because there Isnt enough weight to tell.... This is soo light. I think a laxnation review said it came out to 5.2 ounces strung, But that doesnt really seem right to me. It is definently lighter than my evo, and my evo is 5.4 strung. Well, Lets just say its ungodly light and call it good. It is light enough for your needs, Trust me.
Stringing- Yummay. The stringing possibilites on this is awesome. It has enough Holes for any stringjob you could imagine. It has 9 topstring holes, and 18 (counting the little ones) Sidewall holes. 14 of the 18 are the huge Gait stringing holes, with enough room for anything, and there are 2 barely string sized holes on the ends of the head. All of the topstring holes are big. You could definently string anything your heart desired on this head.
Overall- Wow, I am lost for words on what Gait has done. This head rocks, simple as that. And for only around 25-30 bucks, this is the best deal money can buy in lacrosse. There is absolutely no reason you should not own this head, Mow a couple lawns around the neighborhood, and go buy it. And dont argue. Its that good.
