i go to a private church school (prep school, for lack of a better word). does everyone hate prep schools? i feel like i've seen/heard a lot of hostility. what's the big deal?

does everyone else hate prep schools?ummmm ya!! i have gone to private schools all my life, n we get ragged on n called rich kids during laxor any other sport. a lot of the people i heard saying stuff either wished they could get into a great school or just kinda do what all their classmates do....at least thats wat ive seen

Well, i go to a public school and everyone rags on us for being "rich white kids"(this is for football). Every school in our conference considers us their "arch rival". So really, its not just prep schools.

ya, i guess you're gonna pick on ur rivals for anything you can, so if they're rich, ur gonna rag on them for that, etc

i only dislike prep schools when their athletic teams have all the brand new, top of the line equipment, and their players are terrible. But other than public schools and prep schools both have "rich white kids"

i still dont understand why if a school has a lot of money, they shouldn't have the nice/expensive equipment. regardless of wheter the team sucks or not.

^^^^it's not that. it's when the kids have all the tools(sticks, pads, etc..) to become great. yet they don't work at it. It's sort of unfair to the kids that don't have the great stuff

how is it not fair? if you're better w/o the best equipment, what does it matter?if they don't work at it, thats their problem
