i need some tips on which pockets shoot the fastest, where the ball sits in the stick, what type of mesh, and how the shooting strings are strung, and how tight,,,,,,,,thanks

personaly, I think that the fastest shot is on some hard mesh that has a low pocket, and no whip. Also, you can boil the mesh before you string it and make it harder, but you will lose some feel.

Actually e-lacrosse did a tutorial on this, but the pocket isn't really playable.

i would say, a good ol' peices of hard mesh with a high pocket. you know what also shoots really fast. my custom that i did. its basicly this. 4 leathers. wide ride in the center, then rp twist on the outside. high pocket, and no whip

if you're intereted in traditional, I think pitas are fast. e-lacrosse.com has a tutorial for the "fastest pocket" (http://e-lacrosse.com/stech102.html) that uses mini mesh but it isnt practical for a game.

use hard micro mesh, you have to make sure its hard though. The have the pocket relitivly shallow(enough so you can still handle the ball) and a forward pocket would be the best. 1 nylon shooter 2 across 1 v/u

my X2 has jima 8D high pocket with 3 U Hockey Laces and 2 Weaved Nylons. No whip at all, shoots really fast.

i dont know about the shallow pocket thing i do know that if you have more whip then you start your windup further back and that is supposed to make your shot faster but im not shure. look at some good shooters pockets like millon and walters and ward and any one, but i think it is the person not the stick that gives a fast shot

pitas are notorius for slow shots and passes. and a shallow pocket with less whip just seems logical for a fast shot. that pocket on e-lax looks completely whipless but doesnt have any hold swhich makes it unuseable.

its not so much the pocket as it is you, you need to do exercises and streghthen your core because most power comes from your core (i think im no expert though) but as far as pockets the e-lax one is the fastest, but not playable but id say having little to no whip gives a faster shot than whip (just my experience though)

true but lots of your power comes from your legs and the rotation of your chest. people say do bicep curls but i find leg presses help increase shot speed mor than bicep curls

when people say that something like 6d shoots slower than regular hard mesh or somethin like that, how much of a difference is it really? is it like 1 mph or 10?

dont worry about your pocket as much as your technique.Im not big at all (5'9 145lbs...all muscle thought and quick so try to catch me lol) and i worked no my shot to get the best technique so i could utilize the maximium power my body can put out.i havent been clocked recently.....mid to low 80s right handed and high 70s to low 80s lefty. Id work on technique more than the pocket

He's right its not so much the stick as it is the form you have while u shot. Although the stick does help alittle

It depends on how you shoot. For me I shoot the fastest with a supet low whip low pocket. Some shoot harder with high pockets. Its all in how you shoot.
