alright so i play varsity at the highschool level and i noticed alot of random mesh colors on team we played. For example one of the teams we played were blue and gold and they had a middie and a goalie with neon pink mesh? i myself think this is very stupid, and it ruins the whole like color combo thing. The only reasons i can think that kids do this is because they either think they are really good and cool, or they think they are really good and cool and they think they have a best friend who is good and cool. So they must standout amongst their teammates...
..and look fruity.
this is my opinion on the topic
whats yours?

The goalie from UMD uses neon green mesh, but theyre colors are red black and white. Its just personal preferance.

Some people think that a brightly colored goalie mesh can attract the shooters eye and make them aim for the stick. That's probably why the goalie uses that mesh.

yea i guess, i do see alot of green in goalie heads, but wouldnt that blend with the grass more? or like the white blends with the net more?

i like colors. but not that neon pink and stuff. i like solid colors like black, or blue. i also like white. people say it is harder for the goalie to see the ball come out when useing white mesh.

i use school colors. I think that is the only reason to put colored mesh on.

A lot of college players like to use colored mesh. Not really gay, just they think it looks cool.

i dont mind seein guys with neon colored mesh even though its not their team color, what bugs me is when a team is like red and some guy has blue mesh

right now i have navy blue mesh with red and white strings. those are the colors of my team. on my old stick i had silver mesh with maroon strings. this not only matched the team colors but also my liquidmetal perfectly.

our starting d used all neon mesh one year...neon pink, green, and orange. They were sickos and 2 of them went DI soooo they really had the right to use whatever stick they wanted

My sister is goalie and some coach told her that different colored mesh will make the players look at the mesh at shot there....

At lower levels yes. At high level's shots are muscle memory so no.

i use plain white mesh now but i want to get some neon mesh. The seniors mesh color was neon pink which is pretty cool. I want to do the same but with a different color for next season. Also attackman (cuz im a d man) will think our D are pu$$ys and then we can own there punk @$$'s.

yeah i am all about white mesh. i have not even purchased a peice of colored mesh, and i have purchased alot of mesh. the way i see it, mesh is mesh. and a stick is a stick. if it throws and catches and holds good, then why make it a neon color. plus white hides the ball alittle more when doing fakes and such. that is if your using a white ball.

One time my goalie mesh broke on the sidewall right before a game...and i hade neon pink mesh and extra sidewalls and such in my bag...so i strung my head with that and my team won and i only let in 2 goals (the best game of my life) so i thought it was a good luck charm...so i kept it

ya i see a lot of the neon mesh and it looks really stupid, and most kids that have it are the cocky kids who think that their the best thing thats ever happend to the sport of lacrosse. Thats not all kids though one school has majority of the kids with neon mesh so it' acceptable their.

wow me and some friends actually had a conversation about this very thing. we decided that it was jsut not classy to use a neon mesh. we dont mind blue or red meshs but really alomst anything else jsut looks tacky. We also decided that it actually takes away from the sport to have these flashy lame neon greens and hot pink meshes on the field. it turns the game into a show instead of a sport. you dont see baseball players buying pink bats do you? its cause not only do they not want to be called a pansey they realise how rediculous it looks. its ok in little league sports and mayb even jv but when you get to the varsity, collegiate, and pro levels then its jsut not classy. The same goes for dyed sticks. they are fun to play with and mess around with but shouldnt be used in a game. thats jsut our outlook on it.
