Ive had my stick strung and I loved it...but a few weeks later both sidewalls ripped in half. This has happened with 2 of my previous sticks as well. Is there a way to keep them from wearing down so fast? List what you do here...

pretty sure that that will still rip in half, but the first out of two strings will rip in half.

firstly, what head do you have? Matrix's are notorious for breaking sidewalls, due to their design. nothing you can really do about that, excluding shaving the sidewall plastic.

you could always just continuously re-string the sidewalls, always having a sidewall string ready for replacement.

or, you could work on your fundamentals (not saying you aren't good) and start catching as many passes as you can at the top of the stick, where the shooters are and where the head is 6.5+ inches across. This settles the ball into the pocket, and it doesn't slam into the sidewall string, causing friction and wear and tear. so hit the wall and catch every ball lefty and righty on the shooters, you'll see you'll change your strings a lot less.

you must be catching 90 mile a hour passes to rip sidewalls like that.

maybe they used thin lace, like crosslace instead of sidewall. go to your store or Jimalax.com and order a sidewall spool, or like i said, go to the store that strung it and tell them to replace the sidewalls with sidewall string. that should work. my sidewall string is nice, never had a problem with it.

Yo Attack person, whatever your name is. I had this problem too with my Revo, what I did is last time it ripped off like that, I took a little pocket knife and rounded out my edges of the Sidewall holes, because (If I am understanding you correctly) the problem is the plastic part of the hole of the sidewall is cutting the string. So I did that, then I took a finger nail file and filed down the rough edges that were left there due to the pocket knife. After I did that I only had to replace the strings about Once every two weeks opposed to once a week, but that started to piss me off to so I went to Home Depot and went to there stringing section and bought this thicker string, almost like a round shoelace and have been using that ever since. Haven't had a problem for about a month and a half. To be honest I think that had I finished the pocket knife thing completely I think it would have worked pretty good. Also, when you do that, I mean I am pretty sure that your sidewalls are breaking around the same area every time, mine was the fourth hole on the left and 5th on the right, so I knew to focus my time more on those holes opposed to others. I think that should work, if not I would go get that string I got from Home Depot, I dont' have the name of it right now but I am running low so I will have to go there again and I wll post up the name of it when I get ie next. Sorry bro
