What equipment do you guys feel has lasted the test of time? While protective gear gets seemly better every single year, not too much has changed in the technology of sticks since they became offset.

In my opinion the following gear has stood the test of time:

* Brine Edge Series
* Proton / X2 series
* Cyber / Vapor
* Goalmaster

Kryptolyte has been out for quite some time now and it's still a great shaft.

the bionic. it has been out for about 4 and a half years and its pinch, it is wide enough for defenders and beginners, but pinched enough so you dont lose it from a solid check. plus the fact it is stiffer and more durable than alot of heads out there. doesnt hurt that its cheap as well.

Wooden Shafts, how did i forget!!!!

And the entire F-series as someone mentioned above def deserve to be mentioned.

The original cascade helmet....alot of people still rock them. I wouldnt wear one because i think they are goofy, but i remember way back when if you didnt have cascade you rocked the bucket ....and that was WAYYYYYY uncool. hhahaha

ive seen like 100 f-15's in my lacrosse career get wrecked. They were HUGELY popular...then the krypto C405's started taking over the lacrosse community just as the f-series had.

If anyone was an orange f-22 for trade...LET ME KNOW!!!! Ill give some nice gear up for another one.

I still wear my old one if i'm not playing goalie in a pick up game. I still think it's a great, even though my regular helmet is a CPX Ti.

F-15/proton have been my weapons of choice since 7th grade. Great, great stuff. Also you can't go wrong with an original cascade, edge, (r)evolution, or an X2.

Proton probably takes the cake if you're going by actual years. The Proton came out in around '98 or '99, and it's still being made by STX. Although the Evolution and Revolution are about neck and neck with the Proton in terms of age, the Proton is still the top choice for most college players, while most Evo/Revo lovers have jumped ship to the Evo/Revo Pro.

The X2 came out in '01, thus only lasted 4 years on STX's product line, so the Proton edges it out by at least 3 years. The Cyber/Vapor also came out in '01, and they're much less popular than the Proton.

Since '99, the following heads (including MANY more) have all been made and discontinued. During this time, the Proton still reigns king:
Liquid, Fuse, Prophecy, Edge-X, X2, Hype, Nitrous (looks like it's done this year), Xacto, Blade, Phantom, Prodigy, Savage, Matrix, and a few more.

yep, a WHOLE two years old
Wrong. Cyber and Vapor came out in '01. I have proof if you need it too.

Yeah I saw one break on someone's shoulders right in two, the head was dangling with a six inch piece of shaft sticking out held by tape to the rest of the shaft.

The Evolution, Kryptolyte combo has been one of my favourites for years.

And you have to love 8d mesh, even if it isn't that old.

As for gloves, the newer models are much better for flexibility, palm, etc. - but my favourite gloves were the original RPM's and ignitors. Those gloves led the transition from leather palms and fabric shells to what we have now.

STX's first alloys were pretty awesome too. The "Torque CU31" is pretty frickin sweet when you've only played with aluminum.

klyte-been using one for 3 seasons and its just now time to get another shaft.
evo/revo
X2/Proton-I used a Proton one season, its still one of my favorite heads.
