is this a good head. it looks alot likt the triton but is way cheaper the only difference in the 2 is the side wall on the intrepid does not connect on the lower rail on the top half of the head. is it weaker or flimsier in any way? does it have the same pinch as the triton? ant info?

The triton is definatley a better head then an intrepid but if your going Gait i would go with the tourqe, or maybe a diesal.

Strength, lightly more pinched, more solid head.

The Triton has a slightly more aggressive pinch and offset, and is stiffer. Otherwise, they're almost identical, making the Intrepid a very good mid-priced head.

Its also a little wider at the top, and larger overall.

theres really not that much of a difference except the flexibility

Isn't the interprid more of a defenseive head?

more of a middie. I use it for attack. Im in love with mine. it is slightly less pinched than a triton but its so small of a difference, its unnoticable really. Its slightly flimsier too due to the unconnecting sidewall, but much better price than a triton.

how does the stiffness compare to a cyber?

if you got the cash get a chaos. Its expensive but its a quality head that is overlooked.

i have had and in my mind they are a ver good head. The reason the triton is better is that it is both lighter and stronger. The Intrepid is still a good head though. It decently stiff, except that the factory pinch is very wide and you have to pinch it. But when you do this it makes it extremely flexible. Its a very good beginner /intermediate head and i recomend it!!!

Once that baby warps (or gets pinched by other means) you've got yourself a beautiful head. Maybe not Triton or Torque beautiful, but up there.

tritons are like 40 bucks unstrung and they're amazing...How much better of a price do you need?

its an amazing face off head, the triton is a better d-pole or attack head...i used th intrepid for half a season, but then i broke it on accident when i left it out and my coach ran over it...tear...
