LM32.... how I agree... I feel like its made for a 10 year old.
But the Shock Doc one fits okay in compression shorts...its the strap part that hurts. ITs soooo tight on my waist. And I'm not a fat fellah by anymeans

I had the exact same thing. The Shock Doctor compression shorts were waaay to tight in the waist, and too loose in the compression shorts so the cup didn't sit right. And I'm not fat either, I only weigh 140 lbs, and am 5'9. Now I have a Lowry's one I think, it's really really small, and I have to like bend the cup in half to get my boys in there.
But I guess I'd rather be wearing that when I get hit, then not wearing one like I used to.

How is this an embarassing topic? All guys have junk, and many think it's a good idea to protect it!
Seriously, the best ones are the "banana" cups. Narrower profile so you hardly even know they're there.
Bike makes some good supporters for this shape that are almost like a pair of cotton briefs with a pouch in front ( http://www.bikeathletic.com/product.aspx?catId=9 see no. 26 ).
They're snug and fairly comfy, and if you use these, you probably don't even need to wear anything else under your uniform shorts. This is a bonus for those hot days where you're sweating your balls off......no need to be wearing compression shorts in addition to a jock!!

I usually wear just a regular Bike one for midfield, But now im thinking of taking up some goalie for summer league (less running, good for my healing lungs) so i'll probably be getting a cup a little more protective and shatter-proof.

i use the Bike cup, the white shell with the grey plastic sides, i also use an Under Armor girdle to hold it
I don't wear a cup. There's nothing worse than when it gets out of place, so uncomfortable.
Shockdoctor flex cup- I don't find it that comfortable, but it holds up well.

I don't wear a cup. There's nothing worse than when it gets out of place, so uncomfortable.
I'm pretty sure getting nailed in the balls is worse than having your cup come out of place.
And I have no idea what company mine is, it's like mcdavid or something along those lines.

True-dat. hahaha. Anyway, I normally wear my compression shorts under it, which is extremely comfortable. The compression shorts that I have don't have a cup-holder thing in them.

Shockdoctor, but I don't often wear it because it pinches a lot (sorry if that's too much detail). I agree with those who say bike sucks, they're terrible and smash up your junk so much. I don't understand why they're like all flat and wide, it chafes the legs and makes what should fit not

And I have no idea what company mine is, it's like mcdavid or something along those lines. I'm taking the chance that I don't get nailed in the balls. :(

I have 4 hard cups I alternate using. The Yellow Original Banana Cup is by far the most roomiest and comfortable. Never have to worry about chafing or riding up. I also bought the BIKE Proflex which is ok, but the edges are hard and can distract you. The OBC has a foam insert so that if you happened to get knocked in the cup it helps take the sting off.
Really though, this isnt something any guy should be embarrassed about at all. "Cups are made for GUYS". What *is* embarrassing is seeing a teammate get nailed right in the nuts and go down in pain.
I have tried the brief supporters and the compression shorts with cup pockets built in, but I could never get used to them.
The traditional Jock with Cup pouch and straps is the way to go!

Baseball helmet. but seriously, i play d, and i dont usualy wear one, because i lost the jock, so i just put it in my UA compression shorts and let my junk hold it their. it wouldnt be a problem, but one pair of comp shorts is larger than the other, so their isnt enough compression and it will trun and twist. and turn upside-down. OUCH

I wore a jock one game and I hated it. Its so uncomfortable. Compression shorts are much better because they protect your jewels and help you not pull a muscle. They are much better for a running sports like lacrosse. I use compression sliding short because they are easier to find with a cup pocket and the partial thight pads for baseball work good just incase you get hit in the thigh.

The shock doctor lacrosse shorts are wayyy too hot, they ahve two layers. I would reccomend either the power hockey lacrosse shorts if you want the extra support/tightness, or the hockey basix cup if you want something less hot.

The new one by warrior? It looks like a of shock doctor. Its like the nut hut or something. And since warriors quality blows on their softgoods (IMO), I would not expect them to last nearly as long or be as good as the shock doctor ones.

no cup in football, no cup in lax, the mobility you get from not wearing one is definitly worth it in my oppinion.
jasonkim

the shock doctor cup does not restrict mobility one bit. It seriously feels like you have no cup on.

Uh, if you stick the cup under your UA shorts, it's going to rub against bare skin. Not a smart idea. Even if you wear, say, boxerbriefs under the UA shorts, the cup is still doing to slide around. Better to get shorts with a cup insert or just wear a jockstrap/cup combo over the UA shorts.
