why would you pinch a goalie head. You mean use it for attack or defence, probably not. I wouldn't advise it either.

you can pinch it but only to 10 inches.
there can only be one true crosse... er sorry there can only be one keeper's crosse on the field (per team), and the keeper must be using it.

heres the rule:
There must be one crosse, 10 to 12 inches, inside measurement at its
widest point, at the top and bottom of the side wall. This crosse must be
used by the designated goalkeeper. The side walls of the crosse shall not be
more than 2 inches high.
There must be a goalkeeper on the field who is properly equipped with
a chest protector, throat protector and a crosse that is 10 to 12 inches wide
and 40 to 72 inches long.

its possible to pinch a goalie head though the legality of it is a mystery to me... but pinching a goalie head that you actualy plan on using in a game defeats the purpose of the head itself, a goalie you would think would want the wides head he can get to block them tricky shots with pinching it just makes it harder for you

pinching for more ball control, maybe he plays out of the crease alot.

in that case, dont pinch but get a already pinched nemisis

well, it should be legal as long as its small enough, but youd have to be pretty crazy to try and use it in a game, thats 3 mins non releasable if you get busted.

i had the same idea
i think a super pinched goalie head would be sweet at D

that way the head won't be to big for the stick
and it will still be pretty wide, just narrow then 10 inches
like that one stick brine made, but better

LatinBabe

but you have to imagine, that would be one sick D head...

well first, you can have only one goalie stick on the field at a time, so your poor goalie is playing with a bionic. coach aint going to like that.

second the brine spoon was TERRIBLE to play with. TERRIBLE! it was 10 times worse than the worst stick you can imagine playing with.

no, you can only have one stick bigger than 10 inches not one stick designed for a goalie

It would be illegal, there is a rule that says the plastic part of the head has to be less than 10 inches long

i dont think you are correct, and i just checked the rules and didnt see anything like that, but i did find this:

The fixed length of the goalkeeper’s crosse head may not exceed 16 1/2 inches from the outside edge of the head to the farthest exposed edge of the stop. A.R. 15. Any crosse with an inside measurement from 10 to 12 inches shall be considered a goalkeeper’s crosse and shall be used only by the designated goalkeeper.

so you cant lenghten a head past 16.5 inches.

that is incorrect, the rule states:

A.R. 15. Any crosse with an inside measurement from 10 to 12 inches shall be considered a goalkeeper’s crosse and shall be used only by the designated goalkeeper.

and

There must be a goalkeeper on the field who is properly equipped with a chest protector, throat protector and a crosse that is 10 to 12 inches wide and 40 to 72 inches long.

both the rule and the example state that the goalie must use the goalie's crosse. and since you can only have one goalies crosse on the field at a time, it muct be used by the goalie

brlacrosse50
06-19-2004, 10:18 PM
why would u want to pinch it? isnt the whole point of a goalie stick to be able to catch the ball easy and not to throw the ball well?

he wants to use it on D
