Very Nice! I'm loving the Dye on the pinched edge, and also the bag on that eclipse is pretty sweet. Looks like you've mastered the high custom pocket.

That eclipse has a nice bag! The torque looks like it has some massive hold and some whip.

Yes, I drilled a hole inbetween every existing sidewall hole on the Eclipse. The Torque has a very high pocket, but I like it like that. Massive hold but little whip. Thanks for the feedback!

All of those look very nice. How do they all play??

The Bionic was a friends birthday present, amazing hold, a little bit of whip.
The Edge has amazingly smooth release, decent hold, no whip whatsoever.
The Torque, just plain beasty. Probably the best shooting stick ive ever used.
The Eclipse is good, just enough whip to control everything without being a hastle. Havent used it much yet.

have u noticed any weakness due to the extra holes? thats is by far the most creative and well strung 20d i have ever seen. and as a warning, the 20d will bag out a lot more as u play with it, that was one thing i didnt like bout 20d, it WILL get whippier

I havent seen any weakness at all, I usually drill extra holes in most of my head for stringing purposes...Thanks for the compliment though, especially coming from a member well known for his huge bags.

I am loving that Torque. Do you find that regular trad has the same control and accuracy as a more channeled custom? I am thinking about putting regular traditional in my G-Force for summer.

i like the eclipse a lot. you also have great high pockets

That dye is off the hizzy fo shizzy. And I love the 'Clipse's pocket. Overall, a massive lax onslaught. (I only say this because I want to tell a story; me and my friends were talking about some other friends who are very talented at playing the saxaphone. So one friend says "They should have a crazy sax ensamble." Somehow this came out as "They should have a crazy sex onslaught.")

Thats a good story (kinda >_> It be a band camp story, yarr)
Shoebag- A more channeled pocket has slightly better accuracy that regular trad, but regualr trad is definatly nothing to sneeze at.

how long did that double trad take you. i did one and it took me longer than a rockit pocket.

Those looks very nice, i like the pinch on the edge too, what is the double trad like compared to the regular

EndlesFimbulvet

Drew, it probably took around 1 1/2 hours. Its just like stringing traditional twice.
laxn, double trad has a much smoother release than trad, and is like the hard mesh to traditional's soft mesh.

what was the point of thbat topstring on the bionic?

EndlesFimbulvet

Ok story time kids...
A senior friend of mine and my sisters birthday was coming up, and he wanted to use traditional for the last game of the season (well, not post-season last but last on the schedule). So, he gives me his old Warrior Prodigy to string up, and in warm ups before the game, the head snapped at the scoop, and he had to go back to his G-Force. Later on, he gives me the tank that is the Bionic, I string it, and the two live happily ever after.

I put the topstring on the Bionic like that because, should the head break, you can transfer the stringing from the broken head to a new one.

Looks good. I like the Eclipse but I hate to think what it's going to be like when it bags out.

Next time you string trad though, watch your knots. You have the same problem as many people do when they string trad. When you go to string a knot, you want one end going above and around the leather while the other one you want to go below the leather and around. This is coming from the same direction on the head (from the top going down or from the bottom going up) that you want this to happen. It looks like on all your heads, from the front and going down from the scoop, you had all your knots go above and around the leather. If you look from the back of your pocket, you'll notice there are probably many 'x's where the crosselace interlocks. I can see a few from the side views, but I think you'll notice more if you look at the back of the head. It's not going to kill your pocket, but it's something you might want to keep in mind when you go back to string more traditional.

EDIT- I forgot to mention, I too have drilled holes in my Eclipse. It's definitely a nice head to drill. I don't think I have noticed any weakness from it either.

For the Eclipse how many mesh holes did you go through per sidewall hole?

NEMESIS_keeper

two thumbs up on all the sticks. and drilling hole that different but hey if dont brake then smart move.

EndlesFimbulvet
06-13-2006, 10:47 AM
I did one mesh diamond per sidewall hole.
NemmyKeeper, if anything I think its added a bit more stability (weird.) and shows no signs of breaking whatsoever.
The 20D has bagged out more, but I reconfigured the shooters to 4 rolled and its beautiful.

did you drill inbetween ALL the pre-existing holes?

EndlesFimbulvet
06-13-2006, 10:13 PM
Not all of them...I'll get a pic of the sidewalls up in a minute.
http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/5039/eclipseholes3ug.th.jpg (http://img86.imageshack.us/my.php?image=eclipseholes3ug.jpg)
I would start doing it after the 4th circular sidewall holeand doing every one up to and inlcuding right before the 3 bottom ones on the throat of the stick...The green ones are drilled. I started after the 3rd circular sidewall hole, but didnt use the first one.
