i loved my evo for face offs, i was a beast before it broke
kinda ironic it broke faceoff, but i use to be tight, now i suck with my bionic.
I would got with just a mesh pocket. dura so it is softer then hard. Put a U in there and 2 straight. A bit of whip is good to( if you ask me)
I like the hold the u with a bit of whip adds. It can make a lot of things happen. The hold is great with whip.
And a shaft would be a krytpolyte. It is really light, but also super strong. I would say it is the best of both worlds.

The matrix is great for face-offs. It also has superb hold on the ball. I would recommend a Matrix with hard mesh.

I used both a matrix and a evo last year while faceing off (both with hard mesh) and I liked the evo more (I like stiff heads for faceoffs), that was before it broke though...

i would have to say pita pocket on either a revo or a bionic both good face off heads. There also both have good pinch and good scoop which you need to be an aggressive middie. The pita pocket has really good ball control.
