During my game tonight, the ref would shout out "10" and then the player who had the ball had to give it to the other team. I do not know what this rule is. Could someone clarify this rule? This was the first game this happened.

you have to get the ball over the line on your side b4 center within 10 seconds ....if not loss of possetion , like the goalie has 5 seconds to get the ball out of his or her crease and then you have another 5 to get it across the line

you have 10 seconds is to get the ball in the offensive box once you have possession of the ball in the offensive half of the field.

Rich:
In CLA box, you have ten seconds to get the ball over the far restraining line and into the attack zone, and once over, you have to keep it there.
Of course, this also only applies when your team is shorthanded.....the NLL has these rules in effect full time, but not us.

yeah thats what i meant but i couldnt think of what to call the line ... haha thanks...oh and sometimes we get called if we dont have it over the first line before the center ...but i play girls so the refs "mysteriously " change the rules all the time so...kinda frustrating
