You could always show up and ask in person. Or is the school too far away?

if youre a rising junior, like myself, then coaches cannot talk to you until june 1, or it could be july?

coaches cant talk to you until the july before your senior year,

Coach Peitremulla (sp) of hopkins was telling the hopkins camp funny stories that people he recruited telling him about getting calls at 12:01 AM on the morning of July 1st.

DIII coaches can talk to you all they want. They have no restrictions like DI coaches have. That, and even if he was talking to a DI coach, it's completely fine as long as the coach is not calling you. They can e-mail you all they want as well (assuming it's after the beginning of your junior year). I believe they can even IM you and things like that as well.

Anyways, to answer your question, here is something to think about. Coaches are extremely busy during this time of year. In fact, many are probably out on recruiting trips. Now, he may simply not be interested, but he may also just not be available to respond to you. Give it a few more days, if he doesn't respond e-mail or call him back. Don't get too discouraged though. Out of the coaches I have contacted, about half or maybe a little bit more respond. They're not all going ot be interested and not all are going to respond. But keep your head up and keep trying.

don't worry about it. i once emailed 5 or 6 coaches that were going to be at a clinic i was going to. i only got one response at that time, but about 4 months later i was invited to a camp at another one of those schools. hopefully you provided this guy with plenty of information about your grades and your athletic accomplishments...if he likes the look of those, you could get a very positive response.

Yes, I am sure. If you really want to get the whole scoop, print out the NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete -http://www.ncaa.org/library/general/cbsa/2004-05/2004-05_cbsa.pdf.

The information on contact, official visits and all of that good stuff starts on 26, and a chart begins on the next page with all the divisions. Make sure to look the whole thing over, there is a lot of information regarding grades, courses and a whole bunch of other stuff. That one is the 04-05 one, but it pretty much still applies as it has stuff in there for up to 08. Don't be afraid to check out NCAA.org either. Knowing the whole recruiting process is half the battle.

i wouldn't worry about it too much. at one of my top choices i didn't hear back from them like a month and then suddenly got an invitation to their junior day. different coaches handle their recruiting differently.

There is a date, but I'm not sure if it applies to DIII.

Maybe they really aren't interested.

It does apply because some D3 college saw me at a tournanment and emailed me. Once I told them I was a juinor they said I will get back to you at a certain date because we cant talk to rising juinors until a certain date.

It's quite possible the coach is just really busy right now or not in his office. There are a number of D3 schools with only one paid coach, and if he's on vacation or out recruiting, it might take him awhile to get back to you.

Tell him what tournaments you will be at...thats the best way for him to see you

Keep in mind that the school year just ended in most cases and these guys like vacation timme like everyone else.... He's likely out of the office, or letting mail and calls queue up till he's ready to start the recruiting thing for serious. Figure your name is on some list some where.... it only matters whic list. :)
