Actually its not legal, there is a rule that says any modified head is illegal, same with pinching, even if it meets all the specs its illegal because its modified. At least thats how it is in my neck of the woods.

technically yes, it falls under section 19, "A crosse that has been
altered in such a way as to give an advantage to an individual is illegal."

i had to sand down the teath on my old g force so the ball wouldnt get caught. i played quite a few games with it and got stick checked twice and didnt get penalized

i think that only means if a stick has been altered to make it illegal because that would be considered an advantage, i dont think that if you shaved sidewalls to make it legal it would be a penalty

If it doesn't give you an advantage, why are you doing it?
See:
A.R. 12. May a player shave or sand the wall of his crosse to make it more flexible or thinner? RULING: No.

he would do it to lighten it
Which would be altering the stick to gain an advantage.

im missing the point of gaining advantage, i thought if i pinched a head but kept it legal, it would be the same as someone buying the head that already has that pinch, such as pinching an edge to make it like an e3, i thought having an advantage would be making it so the ball cant come out

LaxRef, I know it would be illegal due to you post before mine, and I was answering your question which was If it doesn't give you an advantage, why are you doing it?

Right, and my point was that that's not an answer to the question. Either it doesn't give an advantage, in which case there is no point to doing it, or it does give an advantage (making it lighter), which means that it's altered to give an advantage.
To be a proper answer to the question, you need to come up with a situation where you have a reason for altering it that doesn't give an advantage.

If you're altering it because you think it will help you, you must think it's going to give you an advantage.

So if you pinch your head that would be illegal

Only if the pinching caused the stick to fail one of the stick checks - 6.5" or having the ball come out, etc. The refs can't tell if you bought a stick that way or if you squeezed it.
Also, not every stick alteration should be considered illegal, even if it gives me a perceived advantage. I am free to add more throwing strings if I like - it's an alteration that I think helps me shoot more consistently - and wouldn't be considered illegal in my book if it passed all the stick checks.
